Preparation

  • Place the protective mask with the outside on a table (access to the part that is in contact with the face)
  • Unzip the daily hygienic pad (the daily liner) and also apply on the inside of the mask.
  • Put a few drops of propolis tincture, evenly on the daily hygienic pad (the daily liner), applied on the mask.
  • Then, in the final step, you can add 1-2 drops of one or more essential oils specified in the ingredients: eucalyptus, peppermint, thyme, rosemary, cloves, tea tree. These oils together with propolis form a barrier against viruses.

Observations

In view of concerns about the new coronavirus in China, covid-19, the crisis situation generates an additional safety measure for respiratory masks.

Mask against coronavirus:

The tincture of propolis together with the essential oils forms a natural barrier against viruses. In addition, that sterile buffer makes the filtration even finer.

All the ingredients used (propolis and essential oils) help in the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases.

Propolis tincture:
- propolis extract can naturally prevent or shorten cold and considerably relieves cough and sore throat
- important role in the health of the respiratory system
- influenza and pharyngitis, respiratory disorders

Eucalyptus:
- contributes to increased respiratory capacity
- adjuvant in the treatment of respiratory tract infections: clogged nose, airway congestion, cough, sinusitis, bronchitis, colds, pharyngitis, fever, clogged nose and headache

Mint:
- immediately undo the sinuses and can give you a relaxed state
- effective in relaxing the muscles in the nasal passages and can help eliminate mucus
- it clears the airways.

Thyme:
- stimulates the immune system
- antispasmodic (coughs, cramps and pain due to spasms)
- antibacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial effect
- expectorant (cough and nasal congestion)
- is able to cure chest infections (lungs, bronchi, larynx and pharynx) and stop coughing.
- natural antibiotic

Rozmainul
- good for respiratory problems (it is effective for asthma, bronchitis, gout, sinusitis and whooping cough),
- analgesic, antidepressant, astringent, collagen, digestive, diuretic, hepatic, hypertensive, nerve, stimulant, sweat and tonic

Tea Tree:
- prevents colds and respiratory infections
- fight against bacteria that cause inflammation of the mucous membranes and contribute to sore throat
- antifungal

Cloves:
- antimicrobial,
- antifungal,
- antiseptic,
- antiviral,
- antispasmodic,
- anti-inflammatory

Administration

Essential oils can be used in various combinations, by rotation. In this example I only used 2 oils: eucalyptus and mint.

Normally a mask is for single use. Being a time of crisis, in which there are no masks, you can reuse the mask, replacing the tampon and adding drops of propolis and essential oils.

For children, the quantities are halved.

Effects and benefits

  • the mask becomes much more efficient
  • prevents infection with viruses / bacteria / parasites in the air (antibacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial effect)
  • protects and clears the airways
  • adjuvant in the treatment of respiratory tract infections
  • contributes to increased respiratory capacity
  • stimulates the immune system
  • soothing for cough, sore throat
  • expectorant (cough and nasal congestion)
  • natural antibiotic
