➡️ Remove any damaged leaves, twigs or fruit.

➡️ Put the sea buckthorn berries in a high-speed blender or auger juicer.
➡️ Process for 1-2 minutes until you get a thick paste.
➡️ If using a juicer, introduce the fruit gradually to extract the pure juice. - Filtering the juice
➡️ Place a double gauze or fine sieve over a deep bowl or large jar.
➡️ Pour in the sea buckthorn mixture and squeeze all the juice out of the pulp by hand.
➡️ Depending on the thickness, you can strain once or twice for a smooth texture without pips or pith. - Adding honey and propolis tincture
➡️ Pour honey over the resulting juice and stir slowly with a wooden spoon (avoid metal to preserve the active enzymes).
➡️ Once the honey juice is perfectly homogenized, add the propolis tincture, stirring continuously. - Cold maceration (optional but recommended)
Close the container and refrigerate for 12-24 hours to macerate. - Bottling
➡️ After maceration, pour the syrup into glass bottles, smaller sizes recommended, so that when you open a bottle, the syrup is consumed in the shortest possible time.
➡️ Close them tightly and label them with the date of preparation.

Observations
🧊 Keep bottles in the fridge, cool and dark, to preserve the properties of the ingredients.
🥄 Shake the bottle before each use as propolis can easily settle.
Shel Shelf life
🔸 Keep refrigerated (2-8°C) in tightly sealed bottles: recommended 30 days.
🍯 The honey and propolis act as natural preservatives, but the syrup also contains water from the sea buckthorn juice, which makes it more perishable.
🧊 Tips for extending shelf life
- Use dark, well-sterilized glass containers (in boiling water for 10 minutes).
- Avoid contamination - use a clean spoon with each use (not straight from the bottle).
- Label bottles with date of preparation and expiry date.
- Keep at constant cold - don't leave the syrup at varying temperatures or in light.
