  • - knife
  • - ice packs

Preparation

  • Wash the lemons, ginger and turmeric well under running water. It is preferred that they be from BIO sources.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 2Peel the lemons. As well as the nutritional benefits and taste, they also help to decongest the juicer.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 3Cut into slices (~ 5mm), both ginger and turmeric, so that they can be squeezed more easily by the root juicer. I chose not to peel them because they are BIO, I just washed them very well before.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 4Squeeze the ginger, turmeric and lemon slices at the same time.
⚠ When the juicer shows signs of difficulty. add a slice of lemon.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 5The formed juice is collected in a larger container so that it can be mixed homogeneously with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 6Grate the nutmeg with a grater directly into the container.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 7Add the pepper and mix well. Black pepper is preferred.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 8Cinnamon sticks are also added. Their aroma will transfer to the concentrated juice. They must be left for at least 24 hours. If you don't have chopsticks, you can use ground cinnamon.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 9Add honey and mix well until smooth.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 10The resulting concentrated juice will be stored in glass containers, hermetically sealed, mandatory in the refrigerator.
⚠ A good way to store juice is to freeze it directly in ice packs.
  • Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other spices - Preparation step 11The remaining pulp will not be discarded. It can be used as such or dried in the preparation of teas or added to various beverages.

Observations

Anti-inflammatory tonic with ginger, turmeric and other spices

Turmeric combined with pepper and ginger increases the degree of nutrient assimilation (curcumin).

Storageand validity:
It must be kept in the refrigerator and it is recommended to consume it as soon as possible, up to 30 days.
→ An effective storage method is freezing in ice packs, so the shelf life can be increased to 1 year. Use one ice cube in ~ 250 ml - 500 ml of water or as desired.

The resulting pulp will not be thrown away, we can use it as such or dry, when preparing teas. I can confirm that I obtained the most flavored tea from this pulp (by drying), much better than what is commercially available. The pulp, as such, can also be used to flavor certain beverages.

Administration

→ This juice, being a concentrate, will not be consumed as such, but only diluted with wateror other beverages.
→ We recommend 1 tablespoon per 250 ml of water, but depending on how you prefer / support each one you can put more or less.
→ I personally use 2-3 tablespoons per 1 liter of water and generally consume it during sports training.

→ For anti-inflammatory conditions it is recommended to consume 1 tablespoon with ~ 250 ml of water 3 times a day.
